The Ministry for Research Science and Technology (MoRST) and the Foundation for Science and Technology (FRST)

The Ministry for Research Science and Technology's (MoRST) primary aim is to excel at our core business - investing and managing government funds in the science sector is the New Zealand Government's agency responsible for managing its investment in research, science and technology. The Foundation for Science and Technology (FRST) is a Crown entity governed by a Board appointed by MoRST, with its primary aim to invest and manage government funds in the science sector.  Somnaceutics was awarded a significant research grant from FRST for 'protein stabilisation' of its sleep milk product.

New Zealand Trade & Enterprise (NZTE)

NZTE is the New Zealand Government’s national economic development agency. Somnaceutics works with local and international representatives to foster overseas trade and investment opportunities.

New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA)

Somnaceutics manufacturers are registered Dairy Exporters and operate under a certified RMP (Registered Manufacturing Programme) and as such Somnaceutics complies with NZFSA food safety and quality requirements.

Pacific Channel Limited

Somnaceutics was co-founded by Pacific Channel Limited, a venture development and investment company that co-invested into Somnaceutics with private investors and the New Zealand Venture Investment Fund. Pacific Channel specialises in technology and life science-based industries. It was formed to provide a channel to the resources of the USA; the largest market for biotechnology-based products.

The University of Auckland

Somnaceutics interacts with The University of Auckland to provide a range of services, including product testing and research.

New Image Group

Somnaceutics has formed a joint venture and distribution agreement with New Image to trial its sleep milk product in Taiwan. Founded in 1984, New Image is one of the pioneers of health products and direct selling in the Asia Pacific region. New Image was awarded 2009 New Zealand exporter of the year.

New Zealand Natural Products

Natural Products New Zealand (NPNZ) is the national industry organisation representing member companies involved in all aspects of the natural products industry. Somnaceutics has networks within NPNZ and won the 2009 NZNP Innovation in Science and Technology Award.

New Zealand Venture Investment Fund

NZVIF is a New Zealand-based private equity fund of funds investor that manages fund of funds investments as well as direct co-investments. NZVIF through it's Seed Co-investment Fund (SCIF), has invested in and is a shareholder in Somnaceutics.
